In the final match of the RAW brand house show last night, Ambrose took the pin in the Fatal-4-Way match pitting WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley against he, Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre.
The crowd was reportedly somewhat split on their reactions to Ambrose when he made his ring entrance, with the response leaning more towards the positive than the negative.
As noted, WWE has confirmed in a statement on their official website that Ambrose will not be renewing his contract when his current deal expires after WrestleMania 35 in April.
Ambrose is scheduled to attend Monday's RAW tapings and as noted, could be in the process of being written off of WWE television already. It will be interesting to see what role Ambrose plays on Monday night's show.
