Benjamin put a sign on the door to Gable’s change room that said he must be “this tall” to wrestle in the King of the Ring tournament.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Gable could receive the new nickname of “Shorty G” soon.
“WWE just trademarked the term Shorty G as a wrestling name and rumor had it Gable was going to get that name,” wrote Dave Meltzer.
Real name Charles Betts, Gable competed for Team USA as an amateur wrestler at the 2012 Olympics in London. His height is currently listed at 5ft 8 inches.
