WWE started the angle a few months ago when Lana aligned with Lashley to feud with Rusev on television. Although Rusev and Lana are married in real life, WWE did an angle where they got divorced on television.
Speaking of Lana, The Ravishing Russian obviously realizes her station in WWE. She has a lot of people looking at her as a role model and she wants to make a statement. Lana spoke out saying that she is “bravely creating a mark for women” and she doesn’t “need a man to give me things.” It’s almost 2020 and Lana plans on redefining society.
